Meet the Teacher

Hi! My name is Lisa Wiebe, and I am headed into my fifth year of teaching. I have a passion for writing, teaching, learning, and being outdoors. I speak Spanish, and have recently completed my third year of American Sign Language. I grew up in Reinland (7 years), as well as Bolivia (7 years) as a Missionary Kid.

I completed my teaching practicum at Winkler Elementary School teaching Grade 2, at Emerado teaching Grade 6 + 8, and in Costa Rica, teaching Grades 7-12 in Spanish. I taught Grade 2 at Border Valley, Grade 2 at Winkler Elementary, Grade 3 at JR Walkof, and finally, Grade 1 here at JR Walkof.

My husband and I love to travel, but we also love time at home doing projects and working on our yard. We have the opportunity to vacation in California, as my brother and his wife live there. We have one son, Hayden, who will be 2 in December. He is energetic, adventurous, and loving. We love spending time with him! We are expecting our second child in February!

I look forward to beginning this year with your children! I will work hard this year to ensure an amazing year for your child, both academically and socially. I pray I am a good fit for your child this year, and that my heart will be prepared for what is ahead. I promise to work above and beyond: I will get to know your child, listen to him/her, and do my best to provide him/her with the skills he/she needs to move forward. I am excited to meet you, as parents, and your children! Thank you for working together with me to raise and educate our future generation!
